Policy
Registration fee due at this time: $25 (per child)

Welcome to the Valdosta School of Ballet. Thank you for joining our school. We are looking forward to an exciting year filled with fun and the excitement of learning the art of dance. We would like to give you a little information about our school policies.
Tuition is $55.00 for a regular class and $80.00 with the jazz. Tuition has to be paid by the 1st of every month. There will be an additional fee of $5.00 if the payment is late. If the check is returned there will be a $25.00 charge. Monies more than 2 months past due will be charged a 10% fee every month not paid. Please print on the check your child’s name so that the correct account is noted with the payment. If you are paying in cash, please notify the staff so they can write you a receipt. Each recital costume will cost $55.00. The amount of your fee will depend upon how many classes your child takes. The recital fee is $55 for the first child / $35 for each additional sibling (t-shirt included).
Please note the brochure for the holiday dates. Closer to the date and any other special date we will send out notices prior to the date. Parents/Family will be allowed to observe twice during the year, once before Sleeping Beauty and once in May, right before recital. This is our policy because we sincerely feel that this allows us to establish a personal relationship with your child.
Our class placement policy is based on the ability of the child to perform. This is not based on age. Our reason for this policy is to enhance their dancing ability and their self-esteem.
Your child must wear the proper dance attire to every class. For example, leotards (in solids colors), skirts, tights or jazz pants are required. Please no gymnastic style leotards. It is in your child’s creative mind to decide what style they wish to wear. We require that your child’s hair be in a ponytail for jazz/tap and a bun for ballet/pointe. Ballet shoestrings should be knotted and cut off. We will do this the first day of class.
We are aware that your child may be absent due to sickness or other prior obligations. However, we don’t reschedule missed classes. This is because of our scheduling the new performance. Please note that there will be no refund for missed classes.
The production of Sleeping Beauty has been added to our repertoire. We are proud of last year’s success and hope it continues. Sponsors in the community fund this performance, and the monies raised go toward the VSU Theatre Scholarship Fund.
We would again like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to give back to your child the love of the art of dance. Please feel free, if there is a problem, to set up a time to speak with us personally. This will allow us to give you our full attention without the distraction of classes, rehearsals, and performances.
